(Because I should really keep track of them again.)
27.12.18: Men in Black ★★★★☆ (Good old alien stuff that's actually fun, even though the end of the world is near etc.! I miss this.)
30.12.18: Duck Butter ★☆☆☆☆ (What the actual fuck??? I get that it's probably supposed to be deep and show a lot of emotions, but it all comes across as super weird, especially the characters, and is it really so hard to get a happy ending just that once?)
31.12.18: Doctor Strange ★★☆☆☆ (Okay-ish after Stephen Strange becomes less of an asshole, I guess?)
31.12.18: Billy Elliot ★★★☆☆ (I liked it, but wasn't as emotional about any of the characters as I thought I'd be. I feel like we didn't really get to know them properly – not even Billy – and that each of them had their own story/motivations we only ever saw a few glimpses of.)
31.12.18: Die wilden Hühner und die Liebe ★★☆☆☆ (They clearly had no idea how to turn a book into a movie (hint: voiceovers instead of actually showing what a character is doing/feeling is not the way), but it was kind of cute, anways. Also: surprisingly more lesbian rep than a lot of "proper" movie/tv shows I've watched this year???)
01.01.2019: Moana ★★★★☆ (Still really beautiful. 5/5 stars to the chicken. I love the chicken.)
05.01.2019: Carol ★★★★☆ (Interesting and actually likeable characters and an at least somewhat hopeful ending? YES.)
02.02.2019: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ★★★★☆ (Still, like the first part, a pretty amazing soundtrack, and I actually really enjoyed it. Also, I cried at the end.)
10.02.2019: Rise of the Guardians ★★★★★ (Still absolutely gorgeous, still so many great characters, and still so many feelings, I love this movie so much! <3)
02.03.2019: Storks ★★★☆☆
03.03.2019: Brave ★★★★☆
03.03.2019: Jurassic Park ★★★★☆ (People in 90s clothes/styles in general are unfortunately attractive to me??? Anyways, I just really like it.)
08.03.2019: Monsters, Inc. ★★☆☆☆ (Idk, it's not as much fun and I don't connect with the characters as much as I remembered?)
23.03.2019: Captain Marvel ★★★★☆ (The first part felt super generic, at least in a Marvel Origin Movie kind of way, but once they took it to Earth and brought on the 90's soungtrack? HELL YES.)
24.04.2019: Avengers: Endgame (I have no idea how I feel about this movie as a whole yet. I think they finally got that it's more about emotions than 500 fight scenes, and tried to make it not all dark and gritty, but some of the humour was super off, and the ending for Steve? Um, okay.)
27.04.2019: Mario ★★★☆☆ (Kudos for the subtitles on all the Swiss German, I would have been so lost without them, lmao. Also: oh my god, they were roommates. But how hard can it possibly be to give anyone an at least optimistic ending?!)
28.04.2019: Someone Great ★★★★☆ (I guess I really needed a movie about people my age who don't have figured things out yet, or whose things are falling apart because they did kind of grow up, and who also realize that's okay, and that things can still be okay, somehow.)
05.05.2019: God's Own Country ★★★★☆ (I, too, would completely fall in love with Gheorghe, he's so soft with the animals and once he cares about Johnny, and yet doesn't take any of his shit. <3 Also, holy shit, I was prepared for yet another heartbreak, but this movie really surprised me there?)
19.05.2019: Detective Pikachu ★★★★★
20.06.2019: Bohemian Rhapsody ★★★★★
20.06.2019: How To Train Your Dragon ★★★★☆
21.06.2019: How To Train Your Dragon 2 ★★★★☆
21.06.2019: How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World ★★★☆☆
05.07.2019: Spider-Man: Homecoming
05.07.2019: Spider-Man: Far From Home
